New CCA (IMPORTANT!):

Mr Tan Kok Leng (CCA HOD) would like to meet all sec 1 and sec 2 girl guides in school for a short briefing on 20th November (Next thursday) @ 9am.

I will like to tell you girls that you have the right to choose your preferred CCA ok? If he were to ask you all to join other CCA, you may like to insist on your choice. If you are unsure, you can call Ms Chan to confirm.

As for camping in school, I am afraid we don't have the resources to run one this holidays but it would be very helpful if anyone of you can book a chalet or alternaltively we can all go down to east coast one day to BBQ and reminience the good old times when we were together as guides. I hope that we girl guides will still keep in touch and should you hear any bad remarks from any other students, please tell them this: WE ARE STILL GIRL GUIDES ALTHOUGH WE DO NOT PHYSICALLY EXIST IN THE SCHOOL. Be strong and stay united girls!

Its' okay!

Dear all girl guides,
I know that this was a very shocking news that have been sent to you but this was fated. I know that some of you were crying but there isn't any use because it's fated. You all need to look on the brighter side and not seeing the bad side. Maybe there was a lot of reasons why the principal and vice-principal made this decisions. But you all must be strong as your guiding journey does not end here. It is only starting of your guiding journey.

Have you all thought about the skills that all of you have obtained during all the guiding session? Did you know that not all in the school can obtained that kind of skills. It's actually a gift that has been given to all of you. You can even use this skills when you grow up.

I hope all of you can take this matter seriously especially the SEC 1 and 2s. I hope you all will not blame anyone about this matter. I don't want to hear anyone crying anymore about this matter. I know it's very difficult to pull yourself together when you all heard this. Some of your friends might be saying that girl guides is not good and close down. Just try to pull yourself together and let this matter rest.

Although Yuhua Girl Guides is officially closed, I think we can still have some meetings around the corner. I hope that when I call for meetings, all of you can attend it without we calling you or forcing you. Just don't stress up yourself by this matter. There's always an obstacles in life . If there isn't any, this is not what we called as life. This is part and parcel of being a student in YUHUA.

If anyone of you wants to talk or share their fellings towards this matter, just contact anyone of us. (MISS CHAN, MDM GEJA, HIDAYA,SIU TING OR SHIVANI). Maybe we can share a listening earsor help you hold on to your worries. :)

SHORT MEETING ON THURS

Dear girls,

I will like to meet all of you(Sec 1 to 5) on Thursday 2nd OCT after school at 2.30 pm at the AVA theatre to settle 3 things:

1) The photos we took have arrived and ready for collection.
2) NYAA girls(Sec 2 and Sec 3) to fill up the booklets. 2 girls are still holding on to their booklets, please bring them along.
3) PNA awards + T-shirt money (Angella's uncle needs the payment from us asap)

Actually all the things that i have told you all on that day was just to make you all realise that we actually want the best and expect the best from each one of you. Maybe my expectations of getting a GOLD PNA award was too high and will not be a success one but i hope with all your sincere effort and your determination, we will get that award in years ahead. I think everyone will agree with me that everyone have done a great job although after that got a long lecture from me. That particular long lecture is the one who will determine whether our aim can be achieve next year or years ahead. Reflect and think what else can you do to improve YHGG.

*Our reason for having this meeting, is to prepare for the inter-initiative on the next day(Shuqun & Juying pri coming) and for the NYAA students to complete their book.

*Our reason for calling you guides earlier so that we can have a last minute preparation.
*Attendance will be taken on BOTH DAYS. If you are not able to come, please tell any of the seniors before hand or produce an MC.
*Attendance is compulsory.

Shuqun and Jurongville primary confirmed with us that they will be coming on the 17th September (Next Friday). Please get ready the receipes and ingredients to teach them how to make brownies!
